Pancreatic Cancer Education Symposium

On December 3rd 2016, Pancreas Centre BC together with Pancreatic Cancer Canada held their third annual Pancreatic Cancer Education Symposium.  Over 80 patients, families and their supporters attended this event and heard from leaders in the pancreatic cancer field.

The details of the symposium are:

PCBC Team Received 2016 CIHR Project Grant To Study The Tumour Microenvironemnt of PDAC.

The research team led by Principal Investigator Dr. Michael Underhill and co-investigators Dr. Kim Wiegand and Dr. David Schaeffer was awarded a Canadian Institute of Health Research (CIHR) Grant for the project entitled ‘Defining Activated Stromal Signatures and Targeting the Tumour Microenvironment of Pancreatic Ductal Adenocarcinoma’.

Drs. Underhill and Wiegand received a 2013 PCBC IDEAS Grant that formed the basis for this successful grant application.
